There was a timely editorial posted this morning on SQL Server Central by Steve Jones concerning Successful Projects. In his post he references Kevin Whitson’s The Kevin Test for Successful Projects, which was inspired by The Rands Test   and Joel Spolsky’s The Joel Test: 12 Steps to Better Code (he has an awesome name).

These simple lists cover a good range of items, and as Steve stated in his editorial

“The idea is not that you implement all of these test items, or do them perfectly, but that you work towards doing more of them than not. “

It will take about 10 minutes to read the articles and I do recommend it as we are actively trying to improve upon many of the items mentioned.

I feel especially strongly about the dedicated Testers to improve quality and Retrospectives to learn from our successes and mistakes.
